Unsuccessful teacher registration candidates protest in Shahbagh

A group of candidates who took part in the viva voce of the 18th Teacher Registration Examination for assistant teacher positions at secondary schools staged a protest march on Monday from Shahbagh to the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) office, demanding that all participants be awarded teacher registration certificates. A group of candidates who took part in the viva voce of the 18th Teacher Registration Examination for assistant teacher positions at secondary schools staged a protest march on Monday from Shahbagh to the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) office, demanding that all participants be awarded teacher registration certificates.

The demonstration began around 12:15pm on Monday in front of the National Museum at Shahbagh.


Jasim Uddin, one of the demonstrators, alleged that they had been subjected to discrimination.

According to the protesters, approximately 83,000 candidates appeared in the viva voce of the 18th Teacher Registration Examination.

Of them, 23,000 were not declared successful.

The unsuccessful candidates now claim that they were deliberately failed and are demanding that they be awarded the certificate of qualification.
