In a message addressed to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Professor Yunus conveyed his condolences over the loss of lives in the incident, which involved 242 passengers on board.


“I am shocked to learn of the tragic crash… We extend our deepest condolences to all the families who lost their dear ones in this tragic incident,” Yunus wrote.

 

He further stated that Bangladesh stands in solidarity with India during this difficult time and is ready to extend full support in any form needed.

“At this trying hour, our thoughts and prayers remain with the victims and their loved ones,” the message read, ending with an assurance of his highest consideration.
